It’s annoying when a pin from Pinterest doesn’t work. But I really hate it when a pin turns into a disaster!

In my quest to rid my home of as many chemicals as possible, I had pinned a ton of pins about homemade household cleaners. Like a TON. One night after doing the dishes I realized I had run out of the yucky (some would say dangerous) run-of-the-mill store-bought dishwasher detergent. So I grabbed my trusty little iPhone and fired up the Pinterest app while trying to hush the little voice in my head telling me I was addicted to Pinterest because I have the app.

AHA! Found a ‘recipe’… It was simple enough: ½ teaspoon of Dawn dish soap (the original, not the fancy schmancy stuff) and 1 teaspoon of Oxygen Bleach. Add those to the main soap compartment with some white vinegar added to the rinse aid dispenser or in a cup in the top rack. Easy peasy, right?
