I had the opportunity to try out Smelly Washer and Smelly Towel this month, which was perfect timing for my “Seizing the Spring” series. Over the next few weeks I am going to be testing out Pinterest spring cleaning tips and tricks, organizing products and more. So today it is time to tackle my washing machine with Smelly Washer!
Don’t be fooled by the silly picture on the packaging, because this all-natural washer cleaner isn’t a gimmick- it really works!
Both Smelly Washer and Smelly Towel are natural citrus based cleaners. You only have to use a small capful to get the job done.
Because I have a top loader, I don’t have to worry as much about mold and mildew, but I do have to deal with the washer sometimes getting a funky smell. I use cloth diapers so I am constantly running yucky loads of laundry filled with you know what. It is nice to know that I can just throw a capful of Smelly Washer in every once in a while to clean out any odors and bacteria that might still be lurking in the washer.
Since the ingredients aren’t listed on the bottle, I emailed Smelly Washer before I used it and asked if it was cloth diaper safe. I was pleased at the reply directly from the founder Paul Flynn-
“Both Smelly Washer and Towel are safe and effective to use with cloth diapers. We have many returning customers with sensitivity issues who use Smelly Washer because of it’s safety.”
I haven’t used either Smelly Washer or Smelly Towels directly on my cloth diapers yet, but I am tempted to try…
I also let me cousin try out Smelly Washer and Smelly Towel since she told me she had been having problems with mold and mildew in her front loading washing machine. She reported that she likes the smell on her towels and that her laundry is fresher.
If you have a mold, mildew or a musty smelling washer, I would definitely suggesting giving Smelly Washer a try!
I received the above products through Sublime Media Connection in exchange for an honest review. In no way was I asked to give a positive review.
