Over the last several years we have accumulated postcards. Lots of postcards. There are two reasons for this:
- My hubby is a pilot and his job takes him all over the country. Ever since kiddo was born, hubby has sent postcards home to him whenever he had a trip that kept him away from home for more than a few days.
- We love to travel. Our 2 year old has already seen more of the world than I had when I got married. We always send ourselves postcards when we are traveling. It is so much fun to get them a few weeks after we get back and remember where we were and how much fun we were having on our trip.
This resulted in a box of postcards that had been piling up. I didn’t want them to just sit in a box and be forgotten (like all of my scrapbooking stuff). I was wracking my brain trying to figure out what to do with all of these postcards when my mom came up with the idea of hanging them on the wall in kiddo’s room! Viola, instant wall art.
I love that I can just add more postcards as they arrive and kiddo can see where we have been and that Daddy is always thinking of him whenever he is away ♥
