I am trying to eat healthier, but it is super hard with a 3 year old and a newborn. I mean, who has time for that?
I was searching on Pinterest and found this awesome pin about storing salad in a mason jar.
The pin claims that:
1. The salad stays fresh for up to 10 days (bonus because I buy my lettuce at Costco in bulk)
2. It helps you stay on track as far as eating healthy when you have no energy and/or time to prepare a salad (perfect!)
Well, I tried it and…. IT WORKS! My salad stays fresh for a crazy long time and I love that I can just grab a jar and have a perfectly portioned meal or snack. Now I have no excuses!
Besides, I love anything in a mason jar ;)
Have you tried this trick yet? Any other tips for quick and easy, healthy meals?
