Did you know that almost 1,000 hospital nurseries, nationwide in all 50 states and in Canada, are using HALO SleepSack Swaddles instead of blankets through the HALO® Safer Way to Sleep Initiative?

I didn’t, but I wish I had known about their program when my little guy was born 3 months ago. Our hospital still used those traditional nursery blankets. No matter how hard I tried, I could never get kiddo swaddled like the nurses could. Thankfully I brought my own Halo swaddle (since this was our second baby I knew how much of a difference the Halo swaddle makes). All of the nurses loved it and commented on how easy it was to use. I am sure they would have loved to know about Halo’s Safer Way to Sleep Initiative.

This program provides hospital nurseries and NICUs an opportunity to educate parents and caregivers about safe sleep environments by using HALO SleepSack wearable blankets in-hospital and providing them as gifts to parents through their Take-Home program. Isn’t that cool? I would have loved to get one to take home with me instead of those pink and blue scratchy nursery blankets that I never use.

They have also been approved for “Hip Healthy” by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute. Thankfully neither one of my boys has hip dysplasia, but we did have to worry about it with my oldest because he was breech. Using proper swaddles and carriers is very important for little ones and it s very reassuring to know that Halo takes it seriously.
