1. Go to any of your boards

2. Click Move Pins

3. Select up to 50 Pins to delete

4. Click Delete

You can also move Pins to a new board or copy them to another board.

Easy.

{Easy} Crockpot Greek Chicken - Only 3 ingredients!

Our Pinner of the Week, Kelli from Adventures in ChildRearing, has an amazing looking Creamy Crockpot Chicken recipe on her site that inspired us to make our own version this week.

Our crockpot chicken was super juicy and very yummy and we only used 3 ingredients!

What you will need:

  • Chicken (we used 5 chicken thighs )
  • Mayonaise – 1 Cup
  • Garlic
  • Italian Seasoning
  • Water
  • Lemon Juice (optional)

Just put the chicken into the crockpot (we put ours in frozen) Add the mayo and season to taste with the garlic, italian seasoning and a dash of lemon juice.  Add in about 3/4 cup of water and turn the crockpot on high for about 5 hours.  You really can’t mess it up!

Next time we are going to serve it up with pita bread and enjoy this super easy, Crockpot Greek Chicken.

Feeling inspired?

We have been hearing a lot lately about different Pinterest strategies meant to get your pins in front of more people.  One of these strategies is deleting your old, under performing pins.

The idea is to only serve up the pins that are getting repinned.  All of those pins that you may have pinned in the past that for whatever reason never got a single repin… delete them!

Check out our handy guide to deleting old pins here – The Super Easy Guide to Deleting Pinterest Pins in Bulk

Should you delete your Pinterest Pins?

Sarah Titus just wrote a great article that lists 9 Reasons You Should Be Deleting Your Pins.  She goes into detail about how Pinterest looks at boards and her results from deleting her old pins.

Sarah says:

“I continued deleting all my pins on my account that had less than 5 repins. Immediately, I started seeing Pinterest respond. They were giving me more repins. They were showing my stuff to other people and whereas the MOST repins I was getting before I started all this, was like 30 repins. Now, it’s closer to 100!!! I have gotten repins that are 300 and 1,000 and many in the 100’s. No longer am I getting 30’s. I’m getting 100’s. Most of my pins now get over 5 repins, even the ones that don’t do well at all.”

Wow!  For sure we will be going through our old boards and deleting underperforming pins, how about you?

Do you delete old pins?  How does it help your Pinterest boards?

It’s fall and with fall comes pumpkin…pumpkin EVERYTHING!!! Now I’m a girl who loves fall, and I like pumpkin, but to be honest I don’t need pumpkin added to all my food.  I do like to know when it’s worth doing a pumpkin recipe though.  Here’s my latest try, pumpkin waffles, from this pin: http://www.pinterest.com/pin/282460207852732547/

Now to be honest, I didn’t make the apple cider syrup.  I had a new maple syrup I wanted to try, and I really didn’t feel like making two things.  I know, I’m lazy.  These waffles are a little bit of work, they were still easy enough to attempt on a Tuesday morning.

They have a pumpkin flavor without being overly pumpkin.  I do recommend that you use a standing mixer for the egg whites.  The recipe requires you to separate the eggs and to whip the whites to soft peaks.  It make the waffles light and fluffy inside.  Took a little time, but not too hard if you have a standing mixer of any kind.  They were crisp on the outside and soft inside, just how I like my waffles.  These would be perfect for a waffle bar, or if you have company in the mornings.  I turn the oven on to 170 to keep the waffles warm so I can get a few made to let us all eat at the same time.

I think they were great!  My kiddos ate two whole waffles and I made pancakes with the extra batter and they ate one of those too.  You know it’s a success when your kids out eat you!

They aren’t sweet, so if you wanted to add sweetness you could make the apple cider syrup, or cut up apples and cook them down with some brown sugar, butter and cinnamon to pour over the top.  Or you could even make a pecan praline type topping, that would be amazing!! Honestly you could make that part the night before and just reheat it.  If you just want them with a touch of sweetness spread some butter and add a sprinkle of cinnamon and sugar.  They were great with the maple syrup too!! Enough options, now you know these are yummy and have just enough pumpkin to make you feel like fall has come no matter what it feels like outside.

Not the best picture but you get the idea…yummy pumpkin waffles no matter what the topping!

Easy DIY Fall Pumpkin Topiary

This post is AKA Pinned It…. And DID It!!!

A while ago, I saw this idea on Pinterest of making a Fall Pumpkin Topiary.

Fall Pumpkin Topiary

Isn’t that cute? It’s a little too far on the shabby chic side for me, but I managed to make it my own. I also wanted it to be a permanent part of my fall decor, so I decided to use fake pumpkins. I also decided that due to the cost of fake pumpkins, I would only use three and they would display my house number.

So Francesca and I went off to Michael’s to gather supplies. I got three pumpkins, some leaf/acorn pieces, a package of moss, a 1″ dowel, a pretty bucket, and of course a handful of hot glue sticks.

Here’s the pumpkins. They were $7 or so each.

Easy DIY Fall Pumpkin Topiary

I started by drilling holes in the bottom of each pumpkin. I have no idea what this drill bit is called, but obviously it’s used to drill holes. I searched around the garage until I found something that would work.

Easy DIY Fall Pumpkin Topiary

This was surprisingly easy! The only issue was all the orange foam crumbs all over my table and floor.

It was at this point I realized I wasn’t sure how I was going to drill a hole in the top of the pumpkins for the dowel to go through, since the stems were not as easy to manuever with the drill bit. I played around with them and realized I could just put the bottom hole on top of the stem beneath it and hot glue those suckers. So no dowel needed!

The next step was painting on the house numbers. I know my own limits – freehand lettering/drawing is not one of my gifts in life. So I printed out three numbers in 100 point font. I don’t really remember the size, but I just kept increasing the font size until each number filled a page.

Easy DIY Fall Pumpkin Topiary

I used a craft knife to cut out the numbers from the paper, then used the negative as a stencil on each pumpkin.

Easy DIY Fall Pumpkin Topiary

You can see the number 4 lightly drawn in pencil on the top pumpkin. It was then I discovered that I, in fact, did NOT have any black acrylic paint. So after a quick trip to Walmart, I painted each pumpkin in the stenciled number. I really glooped it on there. That’s a technical term for really really thick paint. I wanted it to be visible from fairly far away, so glooping it was a must.

Easy DIY Fall Pumpkin Topiary

After the paint was dry, it was time for assembly! Hot glue!

I started with some floral foam in the bottom of the bucket.

Easy DIY Fall Pumpkin Topiary

I hot glued leaves and moss around the perimeter, then just placed the pumpkins and glued them in place. Keep in mind, floral foam does not hold up super well to hot glue. So just be careful you don’t melt away all the foam, but also that you don’t burn your fingerprints off when you push leaves into the glue.

Easy DIY Fall Pumpkin Topiary

So here is the finished product! I glued some moss around the leaves and even in beween each pumpkin.

And here it is adorning the front of our house!

Easy DIY Fall Pumpkin Topiary

I put this wooden sign we have in the bucket as well.

Easy DIY Fall Pumpkin Topiary

I think it turned out super cute! I’m really proud of myself for actually completing a craft. And the fact that it is adorable is just the stem on my pumpkin, so to speak… The whole thing took me about two hours, including that extra Walmart trip and playing around with it to see what exactly would work for construction.

Happy fall!
