Last week’s Pinner of the Week was Kelly from Eclectic Momsense.  She has been pinning some great things and we were inspired to try to recreate one of her pins.

It has been super hot here, so I picked her Ice Cube Painting and thought it would be a fun project for the kiddos.

The kids loved every bit of this fun project.  Kiddo loved adding the food coloring to the water and making cute little fishy ice cubes.

Easy Kids Project- Making Ice Cube Paints

They turned out super bright and adorable

Ice Cube Paint

Kiddo and little guy loved “painting” with the ice cubes.

Summer Ice Cube Painting

My little guy instantly put them into his mouth and I was thankful that they were only made from water and food coloring!

We painted for a bit, but the ice cube paints made a huge mess, so we took the party into the bathtub.  The kids had fun painting the tub and turning the water different colors as the ice cubes melted.

Kiddo gave this project 2 thumbs up and said it was the “best thing we have ever done” LOL!  I had fun too, but much preferred it once they got in the bath since it was much cleaner.

Have you tried this pin or any others from Eclectic Momsense?
