Car seat straps… they are the bane of my existence! I hate having to dig under kiddo to try to find them. He is definitely not a fan of getting strapped into the car seat and it doesn’t help that it takes me forever to extricate the straps before buckling him into the seat.
Recently, I heard about a little magic device called the Carseat Sidekick. The Sidekick holds the seat straps open all by itself. I just had to try it.
The Carseat Sidekick is so simple that it is genius. It installs in seconds, does not affect the safety of the carseat and is easy to use. The cute Carseat Sidekick “balls” attach to the carseat straps using magnets holding them out of the way, making it easy to get little guy into his car seat. Once he is in, I just disconnect and secure him into his seat.
Little guy has outgrown his bucket style carseat and is now in a convertible carseat. I was able to get the Sidekick to work on his “big boy” car seat, but I really can’t wait to try their new Convertible Carseat Sidekick that is designed specifically to work with convertible carseats.
My favorite use for the Carseat Sidekick has been on our stroller. We have a large jogging stroller with very deep, comfy seats. Unfortunately, that means the seat belts get all bunched up and are almost impossible to find. Enter the Carseat Sidekick. Now the straps are easy to find and I can buckle the kids into their seats in seconds. I am in love with this product!
This is one of those products that you didn’t know how much you needed it until you have it. It makes everything so much easier- especially with a fussy baby that doesn’t want to be strapped in. The CarSeat Sidekick should be on everyone’s list for a baby shower gift!
